Series to study equine health

MINOOKA — Ellis House and Equestrian Center will host an equine health series beginning on Saturday, Feb. 11. Additional sessions will be held on March 3 and April 14.

Colic and founder will be the subject of the Feb. 11 session, which begins at 3 p.m. The course will examine the causes, symptoms and treatments of these diseases.

Lameness will be the subject of the second session on Saturday, March 3 at 3 p.m. Maintenance is the third planned session on April 14 at 3 p.m.

Prices to attend are $50 for all three sessions, $20 per session if pre-paid and $25 for each session at the door.
