Kathryn Anne Hentschel and Michael John Englert, both of Morris, exchanged marriage vows at 2 p.m. on Sept. 10, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church in Morris. This was the last wedding held in the old church.  Father Ed Howe C.R. officiated at the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Herbert and Susan Hentschel and Mike and Lois Englert, all of Morris.

Attendants for the bride included maid of honor Terra Montgomery, matron of honor Amanda Zelko and bridesmaids Jen Duffy and Jackie Englert, sisters of the groom; and Rachel Simpson, Jen Sinclair, JoAnna Hensley, and Elizabeth Dunn, cousins of the bride.

Best man was Jonathan McCloskey. Groomsmen were Bryan Eisenhower, Matt Waters and Aric Shay, friends of the groom; Kevin Duffy, brother-in-law of the groom; and Joe Hentschel and Dave Hentschel, brothers of the bride.

A reception was held at C.D. and M.E. Special Events and Banquets.

The bride graduated in 2004 from Morris Community High School and from Northern Illinois University in 2009. She is employed at Mercy Hospital in Chicago.

The groom graduated in 2001 from MCHS and is employed with Laborer’s Local 75.

The couple honeymooned at Riviera Maya, Mexico.
