A Morris motorist told police Tuesday, Feb. 7, she was unable to stop in time to avoid colliding with a vehicle on Division Street.

Kimberly S. Alcanar, 38, of 1593 Schubert Dr., Morris, and Mary M. Miller-Roed, 53, of 914 Shabbona St., Morris, were both driving southbound on Division Street in Morris, just north of George Street.

Miller-Roed told Morris police she was stopped for traffic when her vehicle was struck from behind by Alcanar.

Alcanar said she did not see traffic was stopped until it was too late. She told police she could not stop in time and ran into Miller-Roed's vehicle.

Alcanar's vehicle was towed from the scene.
