Men cited for having beer in a public place

Morris police cited two Morris residents in the early morning hours of Thursday, Feb. 9, for possession of alcohol in a public place.

Brian Cmolik, 26, and Todd Kieft, 40, were seen taking bottles of beer inside Sam’s Pizza, at 123 W. Washington St., in Morris, after drinking beer on the street in the 100 block of W. Washington.

After they were cited, they were both released.

hey guilty, actually, walking around with an open can or bottle at cornfest IS illegal. You need a cup to do that. If you would have walked 20 steps into Sam's and gotten a cup, unless you were acting belligerent or something,...then you'd have an extra $50 in beer money in your pocket. Although I absolutely respect your time as a war veteran because you are all heroes, im at a loss trying to figure how if you're ignorant to some of the easier laws here in the states, How did you act when you were representing us while in Iraq?
