Marlene R. Brayton
Mrs. Marlene R. Brayton, 76, of Morris, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, Feb. 15, 2012, at Morris Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born May 1, 1935, in Morris, Marlene was the twin daughter of Roland G. and Villa M. (Laing) Williams. She received her education in the Morris schools and graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1953.
Marlene married William P. "Bill" Brayton on Sept. 9, 1961, at the First United Methodist Church in Morris.
She was employed with Century Wholesale for several years and then with Morris Hospital, where she was employed as a secretary in the accounting department.
Survivors include her loving husband, Bill, and their two loving children, Dana (Dave) Wilson of St. Charles, Ill., and Daryk (Kathy) Brayton of LaSalle, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Jaryd, Brendan, Logan and Joren Wilson, Hailee, Mercedes and Sean Brayton; her twin sister, Darlene (Dave) Keller of Seneca, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Williams.
Per Marlene’s wishes, there won’t be any visitation or funeral services.
Cremation rites were accorded.
Private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill.
