Six months and counting . . .

Six months from tomorrow I will be Mrs. Christina Van Yperen. Or Mrs. Christina Chapman-Van Yperen, I haven't decided yet, but anyway.

Six months feels so far, but also too close. I have so much left to do. I'm way behind on my save-the-dates so as soon as I get those out I'm going to have to turn around and get designing the invites.

Not to mention my mother and sister have officially picked my wedding shower date so the fiance and I have to quit putting off registering. Not that I'm not thrilled to have a shower and presents, but picking household items with the husband-to-be promises to be a stressful evening. Let's just say, he's not a big shopper.

Then there are centerpieces, decorations, music, readings, marriage licenses, seating charts, thank yous and so much more to worry about. And let's not forget the bills that come with all of this.

Every time I look at my wedding planner and check off something on the list, I'm astounded by how much there is still left to do. I curse the lists daily.

The celebration and the fun that day is sure to bring makes it all worth it, of course.

But I tell you what, it's a lot of work to become a Van Yperen, or a Chapman-Van Yperen, whichever I end of being.
