Inez C. Smith

CRESTVIEW, Fla. — Inez C. Smith, 68, of Crestview, Fla., passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at her home with loved ones by her side.

Born Jan. 31, 1944, Inez was the daughter of Elijah and Mary Ethel (Cribs) Goodwin.

Inez had a passion for her pets and loved a good book. She had many close friends and cared very much for her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include one one son, Roger (Kelly) Thompson of Morris; a daughter, Tammy (Tony) Salazar of Coal City; three granddaughters, Alicia Thompson of Spokane, Wash., Toni and Amanda Salazar of Coal City; a great-granddaughter, Ariana; and close nieces and nephew, Karen, Rachel, Kelly and Donald.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Mary Ethel Goodwin; three brothers, Glenn Lloyd and Donald; and one sister, Naomi.

A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at Brackney Funeral Services, 480 E. James Lee Blvd., Crestview, Fla., 32549.

Cremation rites were accorded.
