Miller to speak at March 5 event

YORKVILLE —  The Grundy County Soil and Water Conservation District, along with the Kendall County Soil and Water Conservation District, will hold its annual pond seminar on Tuesday, March 6 at 6 p.m. at the Kendall County Historic Courthouse.

The featured speaker will once again be Rob Miller, who is the district fisheries biologist from Silver Springs State Park in Yorkville. Miller is vinformative about fish and pond care and will answer any questions someone may have about their personal pond. He will also cover maintenance of retention/detention ponds for subdivisions or businesses.

The seminar is opento everyone and is free of charge.

If you plan to attend, call the GCSWCD office at (815) 942-0359, ext. 3 by Monday March 5 to reserve your place, as a light dinner will be available.
