• A criminal complaint was filed March 7 against Peter R. Kooyenga, 54, 618 Lincoln St., for a March 6 charge of aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony. He allegedly used a hammer to strike another man. He was arrested and in court March 7.

Mark R. Podoll, 29, of Quincy, MI, pleaded guilty to a Dec. 16, 2011 charge of unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver, a Class 4 felony. He was sentenced to two years of probation, 30 hours community service, four days in jail and ordered to pay more than than $1,000 in fines and costs plus $20 a month for probation fees.

Curtis Wayne Dunham, 39, was sentenced to 30 months conditional discharge and 104 days in jail for a Jan. 17 charge of obstructing justice, a Class 4 felony. Dunham completed his jail time and was also ordered to pay more than $400 in costs and fines.

Courtney A. Brummerstedt, 20, of Coal City, was fined $120 for a Jan. 16 charge of speeding 80 mph in a 55 mph zone.

• A Jan. 15 charge of being an unlicensed driver was dismissed against Gerald R. Rimmele Jr., 30, of Minooka.

Jaime A. Villa-Garcia, 23, of Joliet, pleaded guilty to a Feb. 10 charge of being unlicensed and was fined $250.

• A Feb. 9 charge of driving while license suspended was dismissed against Jeremy L. Merrick, 22, 949 Armstrong St.

Anthony A. Perry, 36, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license suspended, a Class 4 felony. He was sentenced to 30 months conditional discharge, ordered to pay more than $400 in fines and costs and to serve 180 days in jail, which he completed.

Michele Ann Koehler, 44, was found guilty by a jury of an Oct. 2, 2010 charge of burglary to a building at 214 W. North St. in Morris.
