Police: Man offers advice, then takes weed trimmer

A man who tried explaining the proper way to cut grass to two landscapers then made off with one of their weed trimmers Tuesday, April 3, according to Morris police.

Officers spoke with Seth Bonic and Bruno Rentauska, employees of Trotter Landscaping, about the incident at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Morris Police Department.

Bonic and Rentauska told police they were cutting grass at the old Sponge Cushion in the 1000 block of Armstrong Street, Morris, when a male approached Bonic and started to talk to him about the proper way to cut grass. The male told Bonic he used to be an employee of David Trotter, owner of Trotter Landscaping.
