Teller thwarts robbery by saying: 'Bank's closed, come back tomorrow'

(MCT) — A quick-thinking teller is being credited with stopping a robbery by telling a woman with a demand note that the Northwest Side bank was closed, the FBI says.

The heist was foiled last week at the Albany Bank and Trust in the 3400 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court.
