Pasdertz went all seven innings for the win. He yielded four walks and five hits while striking out four.

Hamilton had a hit and an RBI at the plate and Nick Stuedemann was 2 for 3.

"It was a well-played game defensively," Houchin said. "Matt Wilson had two gems at third base to help preserve the win. Paz was in total control on the mound. He threw strikes and let his defense work for him."

Josh Roeder was the winning pitcher, tossing the complete game. He yielded three hits and walked two while striking out one.

Pasdertz was 2 for 4 at the plate with a double and two RBI, Austin Granby was 2 for 4 with two RBI and both Trent Nugent and Brad Wyss had a hit each.

"It was the third game in a row with a win and a complete-game victory," Houchin said. "Josh threw strikes the entire game and mixed his pitches up well."


Stewart-Strasburg 15,

"We did not play well. We did make a nice comeback after being behind 7-2 when we put together a five-run third inning to tie the game," Houchin said. "But our pitching and defense let us down today. We had a very successful trip and improved our play. We are returning home with a much better and confident team."

Brian Bergeson had a double and an RBI at the plate while Pifer had a hit, Pasdertz 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI and Michael Osborne, Wilson and Matt Houchin added singles.

Tyler Bunker was the losing pitcher in relief of Nick Kirkton.

Jill Hetfleisch scored the lone goal of the game for the Indians and Alysha Alonzo had two saves in the non-conference tie on Saturday.

Minooka is 0-6-3 on the season.

Minooka girls at Plainfield North Tiger Relays

The Indians won the event with 137 team points, which was well ahead of North's 81 points.

Minooka collected 10 firsts on the day, including setting a new meet record in the long jump relay. In that event, the team of Lauren Jonen, Janile Rogers, Merdith Vesper and Taylor Prieboy had a combined distance of 61-6.25.
