George S. Yard III
Mr. George S. Yard III, 43, of Morris, Ill., passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, April 21, 2012, in Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital in Bolingbrook, Ill.
Mr. Yard requested cremation rites be accorded and that there be no visitation nor funeral service. Private family inurnment will occur at a later date.
Born Aug. 20, 1968, in Morris, the son of George S. and Georgia A. Wren Yard II, he received his education in the Morris schools.
Employed as a deckhand on the river boats that traveled up and down the Illinois River for many years, he was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, turtle hunting and hogging.
Surviving are his two children, Ashlie and Adam Yard; his mother, Georgia Flatt; and his fiancee, Alicia Hieman, with whom he made his home, all of Morris, Ill. Also surviving are three sisters, Joyce (Bob) Seybert of Streator, Ill., and Shelia Yard and Karen Bernard, both of Morris; two brothers, Edward Mumper III of Morris and Thomas (Carol) Chronister of Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
