Person asks to use bathroom, steals medications

Morris police are investigating a burglary and theft of prescription drugs that took place early Monday at a Morris home.

Deputy Chief Harvey VanCleave said the burglary was reported at about 7:50 a.m. in the 800 block of Douglas Street, after a homeowner, who was holding a garage sale at the time, told police he was approached by a man asking to use his bathroom.

After the man left, the homeowner discovered medications were missing.

The homeowner described the man as a white man in his mid-40s who was about six feet tall.
