Semitrailer rear-ends car on Illinois 47

No one was injured when a semi rear-ended a car on Illinois 47 early Tuesday morning in Morris.

According to the Morris Police Department crash report, the collision occurred at about 6:40 a.m. in a northbound lane of Illinois 47 at the intersection with the ramp for westbound Interstate 80.

Malcome E. Wright, 58, 33 Lynwood Dr., reportedly let his foot slip off the brake and his 2005 Freightliner truck struck the bumper of a 2012 Honda Coupe driven by Thomas J. Reiter, 28, of Minooka.
