Alcohol charges follow minor wreck Saturday

La Salle County deputies arrested one and cited two on alcohol-related charges after responding to a report of a vehicle in a ditch Saturday morning in Grand Rapids Township.

According to an agency release, at about 8:30 a.m., deputies responded to the incident on N. 18th Road, east of Illinois 23. Deputies arrested the driver, Jeremy Harris, 34, of Portland, Ind., for improper backing, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more.

Deputies also cited passengers Chase Fry, 20, of Kewanee, for illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger and illegal consumption of alcohol, and Tyler Glatt, 21, also of Kewanee, for illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger.
