When I got in engaged I decided pretty quickly that I would be allowing my bridesmaids to pick their own dresses. I've literally been in more than 10 weddings myself and although all of the brides picked beautiful dresses for us to wear, they weren't the type I could ever wear again.
When it comes to clothes, I am a fan of getting my money worth so it was important to me for my bridesmaids to purchase something they could not only wear again, but also that they spent what they were comfortable with.
People warned me that if I gave my bridesmaids too much freedom, I might not like what some of them choose. But I thought, "not my bridesmaids."
So this weekend I went shopping with some of them and well the accompanying photo is what they chose.
It appears I will be having a 1980s themed wedding party! Maybe my first dance should be Billy Idol's "White Wedding."
