Going ‘B’ free
Valedictorians wind up with 5.60 GPAs
Three young men rose to the top of their class this year as Morris Community High School valedictorians, but not without a bit of a surprise thrown in their schedules their senior years.
Paul Kolotka, Kevin Wendling and Blake Wilhelmsen were co-valedictorians this spring, all with 5.60 grade point averages and not one “B” on a report card. All three knew by their junior years they had a chance at the achievement, but things got a little worrisome when the school made some big changes in scheduling last year, going from a four-block system to seven periods a day.
