Car stopped in Morris was stolen in Oregon
Driver charged with criminal trespass to vehicle
Illinois State Police troopers arrested an Oregon man Wednesday afternoon in Morris on charges tied to a stolen vehicle.
Just before 4 p.m., according to Master Sgt. Martez Malone, a trooper stopped a 1994 Honda Accord with Oregon registration at East U.S. 6 and Illinois 47. The vehicle was found to have been reported stolen to Pendleton, Oregon, police.
Troopers arrested the driver, Leon Brandt, 26, of La Grande, Oregon, on felony charges of criminal trespass to a vehicle.
