Morris dedicates its memorial to 9/11 victims
This Flag Day was a very special one for Charlie Doss, who 11 years ago brought up the idea of having a memorial to the victims of Sept. 11 in Morris.
Thursday, Flag Day, was the dedication for the city of Morris' 9/11 Memorial Park, located on the southeast corner of the Big R parking lot at Illinois 47 and Green Acres Drive.
"I feel very lucky to have seen this day," said Doss just after someone stopped, shook his hand and thanked him for making the memorial happen.
