(MCT) — Chicago Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman took time out from preparing for this weekend's NHL entry draft to give an update on the health of several players, including winger Marian Hossa.

Hossa suffered a severe concussion during Game 3 of the Western Conference quarterfinals against the Coyotes when he was illegally checked by Raffi Torres and is recovering in Slovakia.

"Marian continues to improve," Bowman said on a conference call Tuesday. "Same thing with Steve Montador (concussion). They're both on the mend and starting their summer training programs getting ready for the season.
