Morris joins forces to save on street work
High school, hospital lots included in list of projects
The Morris City Council Monday approved several contracts for street work.
For this year's Street Maintenance Program, 'D' Construction was awarded the work. 'D' Construction was the lowest bidder with $503,072.56. The city's portion of this project is $258,028.62. The remaining amount will be paid for by Morris Community High School and Morris Hospital and Healthcare Centers.
The entities are sharing in the cost to get a better deal, Mayor Richard Kopczick said Tuesday.
