Ace finds a place

Twenty-eight wins ago, Josh Jimenez was wondering if his first varsity win was going to be his last that spring. While he was then uncertain about his baseball future, much has changed since.

Jimenez started his high school varsity baseball career two springs ago as a sophomore and concluded things a couple of weeks ago for Minooka. This year he went 11-3 with a 1.70 ERA over 86 innings, guiding the Indians to their third state tournament appearance in school history.

He finished with 29 career wins pitching for coach Jeff Petrovic, but those likely won't be the last in his lifetime. Jimenez will be pitching for Bellarmine University in Kentucky starting next season.
