Crash on Lake Shore Drive injures 5
Five people were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash on a downtown stretch of Lake Shore Drive, authorities said this morning.
The crash occurred in the southbound lanes of the drive near Balbo Avenue, according to early reports. The collision led to Chicago Fire Department officials calling for an emergency medical services rescue plan at about 12:13 a.m.
