Foundation awards first Sterritt Nursing Scholarship
Sandy Valdes, of Morris, was selected as the first recipient of The Betty J. Sterritt Nursing Scholarship through the Morris Hospital Foundation. The scholarship was established in memory of the former Morris Hospital nurse manager who passed away in 2010.
Valdes, a nurse at Morris Hospital who was hired by Sterritt, was selected by a committee of Sterritt’s family and peers after completing a formal application process.
