MINOOKAl Ill. — Mr. Darioush "Dar" Ehteshami-Afshar of Minooka, Ill., passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

He was born in Tehran, Iran, on April 22, 1944, the son of the late Mohammad Reza Ehteshami-Afshar and Irandohkt Ghadiri.

The loving husband of the former Kristin Sauter, he was the adored father of Jessamyn and Rosalynn Ehteshami-Afshar; cherished brother of Mehrdad (Nasrin) Ehteshami-Afshar,
Vida (Nasser) Shahbal, Mitra (Amir) Nikkhah Bahrami, Mina (Paul) Van den Berg, Shalah (Ahmad) Yarachi and Mastaneh (Fariss) Kia Kojouri; precious uncle of Bardia and Sepanta Ehteshami-Afshar, Samila Ameli and Bobak Shahbal, Tarlan Baderkhani and Mahkameh Amani, Kassandan Van den Berg and Estatira Priem Van den Berg, Mahbod Yarachi and Mahvand Zegordi, and Parmiss and Parmida Kia Kojouri.
