Better behavior for a (Hawk) Buck

Program will standardize rules, rewards

When students return to Saratoga School District 60C in August, they will be taught three new school rules: be responsible, be respectful and be ready.

The rules are a part of a new behavior program at Saratoga called the positive behavior system, or PBS.

In the past, behavior expectations were first enforced at the classroom level. Teachers would handle behavior issues until the situation escalated. Then an administrator would step in.
