Minooka beats Granite City at Morris Shootout

One day removed from going 0-3 in pool play of the 27th Annual Morris Boys Shootout, the Minooka Indians finally scratched the win column on Wednesday. The locals started with a 44-43 win over Granite City to snap the skid before being eliminated by Kaneland 49-41 about two hours later.

"It's kind of how our summer's gone," Minooka coach Scott Tanaka said. "We looked really good against a good Granite City team, then had flashes where we forgot some things like in the game against Kaneland.

"The team still has a lot of things to work on before the next season, but this summer has been beneficial for the program and what we are hoping for next year."
