Saratoga adds 10 extra minutes to school day
Survey says the additional school time supported by most parents
The Saratoga School District 60C Board of Education approved a 10-minute extension to the school day, beginning in the 2012-13 school year.
Rather than beginning the day at 8:25 a.m., as it did throughout the 2011-12 school year, the Saratoga community will now start the day at 8:15 a.m.
Although only 41 parents responded to a survey about the time extension, 88 percent of them were in favor of the change.
