White Sox call up Septimo
NEW YORK (MCT) -- The Chicago White Sox replaced Will Ohman on their 25-man roster by purchasing the contract of left-hander Leyson Septimo from Triple-A Charlotte.
Septimo, 26, is 2-1 with a 1.48 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings. He limited opponents to a .135 batting average in 21 games.
He has limited left-handed hitters to an .095 (4-for-42) average against with 16 strikeouts.
