Despite fruitful summers, both GSW and Coal City 0-2 at Shootout

Justin Stevenson knows the Gardner-South Wilmington basketball team. That's a good thing, especially considering he's recently taken over as the third Panthers' head coach in the past year.

It's been something of a whirlwind for the GSW basketball program with the coaching baton going from Russ Gilmour to Shane Tucker and now Stevenson since the start of the last school year. A 2004 graduate of Dwight High School and 2008 graduate of ISU, Stevenson moves up from the Panthers' JV team last year to take the reigns of the current squad.

"When Tucker resigned, I stepped in and took the varsity job," Stevenson said.
