Bicyclists, pet owners, their animals brave heat to kick off Liberty Days in downtown Morris
The triple-digit heat kept many of the usual walkers away from the Liberty Days Bone-ifide Pet Parade in Morris Thursday afternoon, but still several pet owners braved the heat.
“Considering the heat, I’m actually pleased,” said Julie Applegate, executive director of the Morris Downtown Development Partnership, about the parade’s turnout. “Obviously people are concerned about their pets. And they should be.”
