Ortiz fully focused on hoops for Morris
If he were a rapper, Morris senior basketball player Ben Ortiz would probably be called G-Rat, an acronym for what he is most commonly referred to the most — a gym rat.
In fact, on Wednesday afternoon at the Morris Boys Shootout, Redskins coach Joe Blumberg was asked to describe the 6-6 forward and those were the first words out of his mouth.
"He's a gym rat," he said. "I always support three-sport athletes, but Ben is a kid who loves the game of basketball and he plays it year round."
