MCHS students become teachers through mentor band
After years of being taught, high school band students in Morris are getting a chance to do some teaching themselves this summer. That’s one of the main purposes of the young musicians mentor band, in its first year at Morris Community High School.
High school band kids get the opportunity to do some one-on-one mentoring to younger band students, and junior high kids grow their skills and get to know some of the older students who play their same instruments.
