Sale: Sox first, then All-Star Game
NEW YORK (MCT) — Left-hander Chris Sale stressed that his main priorities are with the Chicago White Sox when it comes to the possibility of pitching in the July 10 All-Star game.
"I’ve got to pitch here before I pitch anywhere else, to be honest with you," said Sale, a nine-game winner who has a 2.27 ERA. "I’d hate for them to have to rearrange things for that to happen. That would be very selfish I think to do.
"This is important to me. This is my team. This our team. I have to do what’s best for us and if that means, if I even make it, not pitching in the All-Star game, then so be it. It would be cool but I know we’ve got more important things going on."
