Barbara A. Tincher

Mrs. Billie (Barbara A . “Barb") Tincher, 73, of Morris, Ill., passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, June 29, 2012,with her loving family by her side in her home.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 2, at U. C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home Ltd., 301 W. Washington St., Morris, Ill., where funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, with the Rev. Deborah Percell of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Born on June 27, 1939, in Pontiac, Ill., she was the daughter of Howard Black. She married Billie J. Tincher on July 8, 1969, in Morris.

Mrs. Tincher was employed with Humiston-Keeling Company in Morris and, after 20 years of employment, she retired from Cardinal Health Company in 1998.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting and cross stitch, along with attending baseball and basketball practices and games that her grandchildren were a part of. She loved visiting with her many friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving is her loving husband of almost 43 years, Billie, and their six children, Charles and Robin Olson of Morris, Randy (Melinda) Olson of Coal City, Ill., Brian (Tiffany Strange) Olson of Morris, Larry (Donna) Tincher of Bolingbrook, Ill., and Donald Tincher of Morris; 14 grandchildren, Joshua, Amanda and Tinisha Olson, Shelby Supanik, Chasity and Cory Olson, Jordan and Evan Olson, Camden, Cara and Brittany Olson, Keasha Murphy, and Samantha and Logan Tincher; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Pamela (Rick) Hamilton of Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother, Rick Black of Pontiac, Ill.; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Barry Wayne Olson, on Sept. 7, 1991; and two brothers, Howard and Ronald Black.

Preferred form of remembrance would be memorial gifts in Barb’s memory directed to the Morris Hospital Transportation Fund.
