Mack & Associates meets high quality standards

Mack and Associates, P.C. announced that it has successfully completed a rigorous peer review of its accounting and auditing practice. The reviewer concluded that the firm’s system of quality control for the accounting and auditing practice in effect for the year ended Dec. 31, 2011, has been suitably designed and complied with to provide reasonable assurance of performing and reporting in conformity with applicable professional standards in all material respects.

A firm participating in the program must have an independent review of its accounting and auditing practice every three years. The review was conducted under the auspices of the Illinois CPA Society following standards issued by the AICPA.

What is your stance on a proposed 1 percent sales tax to fund local school building projects?

I'm in favor of anything that will help improve school finances
I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes
I oppose it because I don't believe it will impact property taxes and I will just pay twice
I'm against any additional taxes
I have not heard enough yet to form an opinion
