Fitting health in

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Whether it’s healthy eating, exercise, or stress management, the most common difficulty I hear from people is how to fit healthy changes into their schedule. We are all so busy with work and family commitments that even the idea of fitting in more can often be overwhelming.

What we need to remind ourselves of is that our health should be a priority in our schedule. If we don’t have time to take care of ourselves, then there is potential for this to affect other areas of our lives, whether it’s missed workdays due to poor health, or chronic stress and anxiety due to an overwhelming physical and emotional workload.

Taking care of ourselves is essential to be successful in all areas of our lives. We have to commit to this and schedule that time for ourselves. Try writing down your daily schedule for one week and see where you could potentially fit in those healthy changes that you want to make. If you keep a daily calendar or an appointment schedule, schedule yourself in and use this time to incorporate some of those positive, healthy changes you’ve wanted to focus more on.

You will feel better both physically and emotionally if you take this important initiative.
