Property eyed for annexation illegally using city services

Committee discusses action against owners using water, sewer

A Gore Road property is illegally using Morris' water and sewer services.

The property at 585 Gore Road, where the AT&T building is located, was unanimously approved to be annexed into the city in April. The property is about 4.744 acres and is owned by the Gleason Family Trust and leased by AT&T.

But the owners have yet to sign the annexation agreement the council approved or pay the water and sewer tap on fees. Despite this, they still went forward with connecting to the city's water and sewer and are utilizing services.
