Chicago baseball teams get high marks to some degree

With baseball's unofficial halfway point upon us, here is how I would grade some of the key individuals and small groups from Chicago's two teams to date.

Adam Dunn, Jake Peavy and Alex Rios

I predicted a 71-91 season for the White Sox in February, meaning I was even less optimistic than most. Even so, I said that they could be decent if Dunn, Peavy and Rios produced like they're paid to produce. I just didn't think it would happen — a reasonable stance to take, I think, given Peavy's injury history and the seasons Dunn and Rios endured in 2011.

What is your stance on a proposed 1 percent sales tax to fund local school building projects?

I'm in favor of anything that will help improve school finances
I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes
I oppose it because I don't believe it will impact property taxes and I will just pay twice
I'm against any additional taxes
I have not heard enough yet to form an opinion
