Healthy kebab recipe

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Nothing says summer more than grilling out. Kebabs made with vegetables and lean meats are a quick, easy and delicious menu item. Check out this recipe from the Northwest Herald (published June 27) for marinated pork kebabs:

http://www.nwherald.com/2012/06/05/high-heat-grilling-seals-in-kebabs-flavor/axgyvf0/

This recipe is low in saturated fat and relatively low in sodium compared to other marinade recipes, using fresh herbs and vinegars for flavor. To lower the sodium even further, reduce the salt to one-half teaspoon for the whole recipe or eliminate all together.

Try a variety of lean meats with this recipe like chicken breast, shrimp or beef sirloin.

Enjoy!

I'm in favor of anything that will help improve school finances
I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes
I oppose it because I don't believe it will impact property taxes and I will just pay twice
I'm against any additional taxes
