Grundy County deputies arrested a man for allegedly breaking into vehicles in South Wilmington early Tuesday.

At about 5 a.m., deputies arrested Michael W. Davies, 28, of Joliet, after a woman reported seeing a man enter her vehicle and walk away, according to Grundy County Sheriff's Department records.

Deputies in the area responded to the 600 block of W. Lake Street and the man, identified as Davies, was found attempting to hide under a car nearby. He told police he was going to purchase a drink. During a search, he was found to have more than $25 in change in his pockets.
