Nettle Creek set to interview potential district heads

Board aims to fill position by Aug. 1

Nettle Creek School's Board of Education received 19 resumes for the district's superintendent and building principal position left vacant by Dr. Pete Pasteris at the end of June.

In executive session Monday night, the board unanimously chose four candidates for the first round of first interviews, Board President Demetra Turman said. Those interviews will take place this week and a second round of first interviews will most likely take place next week.

Pasteris, former district superintendent and principal, submitted his resignation to the board June 20 in order to pursue a position with Hinckley-Big Rock Unit School District 429. His final day at Nettle Creek was June 29.
