Wanted teen tips off police to whereabouts via Facebook

Morris police arrested a teenager who was wanted on a Grundy County warrant after he tipped off the department about his whereabouts on their Facebook page.

According to Chief Brent Dite, on Monday, the department posted information about an outstanding warrant for Nicholas Goldman, 19, of Morris, and Goldman made comments about being at home.

At about 1:40 p.m., officers responded to 714 Illinois Ave. to serve a Grundy County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. After they arrived, they made contact with Goldman and placed him under arrest.
