Police seek public's help cracking Coal City theft, arson case

Grundy County Crime Stoppers is investigating an arson and theft case that took place Sunday, June 24.

According to a report released Wednesday, authorities responded to a construction trailer that was found on fire in the area southwest of Richards Street and Enrietta Drive in Coal City. The trailer was owned by Barbie Construction, and was reportedly taken from 971 Foxgrove Dr. in Coal City sometime after June 22.

Numerous construction tools and equipment were reportedly stolen from the trailer before it was set on fire.
