Woman taken to hospital after rollover crash

Driver was extricated from vehicle following accident

COAL CITY — A woman was transported to an area hospital after a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning near Coal City.

According to Nick Doerfler, firefighter/paramedic for the Coal City Fire Protection District, firefighters were dispatched to the crash, in the 5000 block of Dresden Road, at about 9:23 a.m. and were on scene around 9:33 a.m.

Doerfler said the vehicle, a 2005 Nissan Murano, was on its side when firefighters arrived on scene.
