Sheriff’s department focusing on educating public about child safety

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday in Morris kicked off a series of July events to spread the word about how to properly secure children in cars.

Sgt. Tanya Paquette said trained child passenger safety technicians took visitors to the department’s office at 111 E. Illinois Avenue through a checklist of items to ensure child safety.
