Denver-based drum and bugle crops practices at MCHS

Colorful flags twirled and white rifles were tossed in the air to the beat of Igor Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite" on Morris Community High School's football field as a Denver-based drum and bugle corps ensemble practiced for a Friday night performance.

The group, the Blue Knights, used the field Friday as a place to prepare for a Drum Corps International competition at Benedictine University in Lisle.

Meanwhile, Noah Doss, an MCHS senior and drum major for the high school's marching band, was engrossed in the performance. He was excited to see the group because he's only previously seen marching bands like this on the Internet.
