It appears the Grundy County Personnel Committee has recommended approval of a new contract for County Administrator Shawn Hamilton, but committee members would not confirm this.

The personnel committee met Thursday and, after an almost two-hour executive session, unanimously approved a recommendation "that was discussed in closed session." The committee shared no details when members returned to open session.

But on the agenda was the "county administrator contract" and, when it came up during open session, Chairwoman Millie Dyer said it would be discussed in executive session.
