O'Malley helps club donate items to We Care's pantry

On Friday, June 29, We Care of Grundy County received a donation of over $1,000 in food from the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Morris.

After consulting with We Care about the greatest needs in the pantry, the club purchased over $400 in canned meat, $60 in diapers, $50 in toilet paper, $40 in paper towels, and a wide variety of additional food, including macaroni and cheese, cereal, peanut butter and canned vegetables.

Funding for this donation was provided by long-time Eagles member George O'Malley.

What is your stance on a proposed 1 percent sales tax to fund local school building projects?

I'm in favor of anything that will help improve school finances
I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes
I oppose it because I don't believe it will impact property taxes and I will just pay twice
I'm against any additional taxes
I have not heard enough yet to form an opinion
